ISA Senior Nationals
ULTRA II WILL BE ALLOWED at the ISA Senior Worlds in St. Louis this August. There was a question a few days back if the Ultra II would be allowed. Talked with owner of ISA and he said that the Ultra II would be allowed at the ISA Senior Worlds.

Great NEWS Hornechec! Our W.E. Ruth 60ís team has that tourney on our schedule for 2006 and can hardly wait. By the by, I jus luv the ětrampolineî effect I get with the U2. The bat just seems to eat the bat for a split second and then slings into outer space at velocities (Model named, VELOCIT-E for good reason) Iíve never experience with any other bat of any kind. No wonder this is the ěbat of choiceî for the vast majority of senior softball competitors today. So, ěwhatís in your bagî?

If you donít have one of these state-of-the-art masterpieces, then in my opine, itís like bringing a knife to a gun battle! And they are now offered senior prices from $178.50 add shipping, to $199.00 maybe shipped free on board.

Iíve put in my order for the Miken Ultra II ěCOMMEMORATIVEî bat painted in senior colors for about $150.00 that is due out shortly. Check with you local Miken Rep for how to order this classic bat.

Lecak, now would I kid you? I guess you find something abominable about the Miken company commemorating one of its bats, in this case the Ultra II?

Letís see I believe it would be Websterís def 2 in this case.

Commemorative:
Def. 1: A ceremony to honor the memory of someone or something
Def 2: In recognition of meritorious service or having great merit in and of itself!

Yes, it got to be Def #2!

The Fields for this tournament
are awesome. Hotels are located
near fields , Casino's. Resturants and a Huge Mall are practically next door to the fields. Airport is
also close to Hotels and Fields.

It sounds like a great tournament in the making, U2's, casinos, convienent location. Maybe they will even have working scoreboards and 2 umpires per game :).

Modo9999, please don't take my previous post personally, it wasn't directed to you or the fields there. In the past we have played in "Nationals" that used only one umpire in the preliminaries, no working scoreboards and the home team had to keep the books.

I wasn't offended. Just wanted to
let you know we will have scoreboards.

Modo9999,

I'm looking forward to this one. I haven't played in St. Louis since the early 70's when I played in Forrest Park. It was an usual experience to play outfield on those fenceless fields. Sometimes I would be looking the fielder from a game on the neighboring field in the face.

The Cardinals are in town against the Brewers that weekend. Do you thinks we'll be able to get tickets with the new stadium and all?

Cardinal Tickets are going to be tough to get.
Single game tickets went on sale yesterday.
I think they are sold out except for standing
room

GSF-55 was considering Salem, Or. but figured that they would get very few teams. We want to play where the best teams will be... such as Turn Two. If ISA will have 5-6 major + teams, I believe that we'll go there. If they do allow the ultra II, the chances of getting the best teams will increase. We haven't played in St. L. since the Carter administration.

one additional consideration for GSF will be the fields. Will they be maintained? The last time we played ISA ('01, Las Vegas) they did not take care of the fields. The batter's boxes, in particular, were in awful shape. How often will the fields be dragged? etc.? It isn't our intent to offend anyone but our sponsor isn't willing to spend $ if the players' concerns are not paramount with the TD. It's 2,000 miles from So. Cal so it isn't a 5 hour drive for us.

The fields are excellent. We will drag the fields
as often as necessary. If you have any
concerns call me,

Hey Guys,
Not to be a pooper but if I remember correctly,
I played in the Black World's in Saint Louis a couple of years ago
and we got rained out, around the same time of the year.
We got one day in and
that was is it.
We coin flipped for 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
Not very satisfying given all the expense and investment of time.
