Those of you who develop your senior league schedules using computer software: what's your package/vendor of choice and why? We're looking for a program that can come up with a nice league schedule that effectively takes into consideration: Minimum of 12 teams Different start times Different days Even allocation of 'home/away' If it has a tournament bracket developer, that's a plus. There are many on the market but would like to hear your thoughts on what has worked for your leagues. |
Dec. 28, 2011 DaveDowell Men's 70 4295 posts | OmahaChuck - I strongly recommend "League Scheduler" by All-Pro Software. It's very versatile and does all of the things you mentioned well, and a lot of other very nice output options. I've used this offering for over 15 years in a variety of different sports and varying league sizes. I also use a couple of the modules for scheduling the round robin portion of the larger SSUSA tournaments that have brackets over 10 teams. They have a free demo version you can 'test drive' before deciding whether or not to purchase the 'unlock key' to open up the full version for $99.95. I'm not as impressed with their companion product "Tournament Scheduler" because it lacks, in my opinion, the flexibility required to schedule Sr. Softball Tournaments. That doesn't mean it won't work for you, but there's also a free demo version of that one, too. Good luck! All-Pro Software: Web Site |
