Thanks Diputs, maybe i should bring back the broom stick it's alot cheaper to replace lol... was hopeful that Combat just changed the color and it's the same durable bat.
Give a shout out to our friends in the S.J. Vintage League from Dano.

The Gear 2 is suppose to be the same as the yellow just painted blue. I picked one to go with my yellow, Like the feel, but the bat spidered rather quickly didn't seem to have same pop. From what I read everyone has a different take on the bat. I traded my for a custom glove. I'm presently considering the Centenarian. Have you hooked up on a team yet.

Thanks hitt2,
My yellow Macenko took time to brake in wasn't hot out of the wrapper, plus the bat is a 1.20 BPF where the Gear 2 is a 1.21 BPF spidering i can handle if you remember my bats have so much pine tar you wouldn't see the spidering anyway lol
I will be playing 50's at the Spring Nationals in Mesquite,NV/St. George, UT i'm finished chasing NCSSA t-shirts but if ODB wants me back for National Tournaments only give me a call... hope to see you in Mesquite.

I bought 2 blue MM last year and love them. I had 3 of the yellow ones broke 2 and traded 1 away. I did break one of the blues one last year got in April and it broke August. The bat did perform very well. I won't swing anything else, they do take longer to breakin than the Ultra's but they are much more durable. Sloball I would be interested in one of those yellow ones in a 27oz end load. I would recommend the blue MM, for me it out performs my Ultra's, Centurian and Toxic, there is no comparison in the durabilty aspect.

Good luck Dano, I really don't think you can go wrong with the bat, just remember is does take longer to break in. I proabaly hit 200 to 250 bats before mine broke in. Let us know what you think. SLOBALL I am interested in talking to you about those yellow MM.

Thanks again guys

I am glad to see that the Blue Senior Gear 2 is performing well. Just an FYI, the bat is the same make up as the Yellow bat. The only difference is we didn't bring back the 10 inch. I myself like both the 10 inch and the 13 inch but Anaconda decided to go with just the big barrell. Anybody looking to purchase one can call me at 330-419-0205.
As far as Bats Unlimited having the bats I have to say that is wrong. I called the guy myself and he had 1 model available at the time and it was a 30 oz. That was last year at the this time for the T.O.C. If I can be of any help just give me a call or e-mail me at mike@bigcat844.com. Thanks.

I am confused if u buy a senior bat and it takes 200-250 to get broke in and cracks after 500-600 swings...Seems to me that is the same as buying an UII that is hot out wrapper and cracks after 300-400 swings. I thought that the main reason why we buy senior bats is for performance. My centenerian only took around 50 swings from me and I believe is very hot. Mis 2 centavos.

paco i'm with ya on that point,my reebok took almost 150 swings to feel good, and than lasted till about 350-400 swings total, one reason i will stay with my combats.....i will say i have come across a combat that did take over 100 swings to break in,but it lasted and is still going as i sold it to a player looking for a bat and i was moving up in weight, this bat is over 2 years old(yellow MM).i did have a gray combat that never did break in,well for me anyways,i sold that one and don't know what has happen to it......all my combats(6-26oz,1-27 oz,1-28 oz and 1-29 oz) have been well over 750 swings and have only broke 2 at this time......all i have left are the 27,28 both new centenarians and a 29 gray which has been hit quite a bit....broke 1 gray with well over 1k swings and the 10" barrel red one,it was my anomaly,it broke with about 300 swings on it......

Hey Paco, I don't know about you but all of my Miken Ultra's broke in 300 swings or less. I broke 5 in the 2010 season 2 broke in the first 30 swings and another in about 100 swings. I even had one snap in half right above my hands on the handle and it was the 3rd tournamnet I use the bat. The last blue MM combat that I bought in April 2011 and broke in August 2011 probably had 700 to 800 cuts. In my opinion there is no better senior bat on the market based on my three priorities in order
1. Performance
2. Durability
3. Cost
I personally have and still own a Ultra2, Centurian and a Toxic and none of them match my Blue MM Combat. To me it has mad crazy pop, extreme duriabity and a fair and competive price. Shoot I can't afford to keep buying Ultra's my wife will make me quit playing softball. This is just my person thoughts and opinion, BLUE MM GEAR 2 Combat is the best bat for me and yes chicks dig the longball and little guys like me enjoy them even more. Thanks guys and good luck to all this season.

I have been a Combat guy for 3 years and the reviews are spot on.I have bought my first Centenarian and use it indoors as I watch guys breaking Mikens. They have moved to SB12's to save their bats.I have a cemetary of Mikens and Rebok's that performed well but broke easy.

Recieved my Combat Gear 2 (blue) 28 oz endload bat the ball comes of it fast within 25-40 swing weather temp.52... with the rapper still on the bat warning track 295 no problem. It feels like this bat will brake in faster then the Yellow Combat ever did... only if i had bought two bats with the same patch number. The only question will this bat last like the yellow Macenko?

Hey Dano, I broke my yellow Macenko and bought a Blue one.. I was not,, I Repeat it was NOT constructed the same way.. only the shape of it was the same... I had two batting practices with it and it broke in 75 swings... My yellow bat had about 700 to 800 swings.. I used it in the snow in Reno.. it lasted... I noticed that the yellow one had extra rings around the barrel and the blue on didn't.. Not the same animal.. If it were I know the market would be flooded with them!

Swing for, I was in Reno last year and my yellow Combat performed great which the bat had around 800 swings can a Miken bat owner say the same about their bat... as for Gear 2 it should last along time because it will not be used! I may try rolling this bat to see if it opens up.

Dano, I had one teammate break two Mikens in that tourney in the first three games.... it was snowing so I Knew there was a good chance for breaking some bats.. ball was flying there... My Yellow bat was performing and not breaking.. I finally broke it at the end of the year.. it had 700 to 800 swings... I would buy 10 of them if I could... The Blue one is not the same... construction is not the same.... I showed guys on my team my Blue one after I broke it and proved to them it wasn't the same bat as the yellow one.

Swing4, dude at Rockn Reno my daughter 10 yrs. old collected 5 cracked Mikens from the trash cans on second day of the tournament... I us cracked bats for hitting off a tee rather then using a game bat from my bag. After three days of wind, rain, chill factor, and snow my daughter never found a cracked Combat MM Yellow, so stand in line many of us want this bat as well. Were you playing with Barons in 2009 at Redwood City when Vintage 50's the team I managed beat your team with Einstein pitching or were you to young?

no Dano, I played last year for the first time in 50s with the Barons. Just makes you wonder about Combat changing the Yellow bat to the Blue one... I was told the Blue MM was the same except for the paint... first thing I notice is the lack of rings around the barrel that I could see on my Yellow MM.. Next thing I noticed is the bat fell apart on me after 75 swings..

I have hit all the Sr bats done by Anaconda and Combat since they came out. Although it looks a bit different, the blue one is the same design as the yellow and hits just as well. Problem comes when people compare a new out of the wrapper bat to a bat they have 6 months of swings on, they quickly forget what it was like in the beginning and give up on the new bat too soon. Only to find later in the season after they commit to the bat that its was great and just needed some time.
Its funny how people react to changes in graphics. Fact is bat companies have been changing the color of bats for years without really changing much if anything below the paint. Yet people will emphatically state The X color one is WAY Better than the Y colored one when in fact the only difference is the color. Its a game, we have all been played by it for years and it continues each season.

Bobby, I had the blue and the yellow next to each other.... The Blue one Did not have these rings that I stated were in the Yellow bat.. So to say they were the same is just not true... Blue bat broke in 75 swings...
