Congress
Wayne 37, I gave Lecak my opinion, then you out of the blue refer to me as Pathetic. Don't I have a right to an opinion.
You made fun of Gingrich for his stance on a Moon Colony. You don't have enough background to make fun of a person favoring a Moon Colony. So here's some background.
It took 8 years from JFK's speech til a Man was put on our Moon. A moon colony should have been built then and exploration to other planets should have been done like other great explorations (Columbus, Vasco de Gamma, Lewis and Clark etc) which resulted in great things. But little men in government decided to spend all the extra money on welfare. Now when Gingrich promotes a Moon Colony, small men again giggle.
Hope this helps.

The costs for this type of space exploration would have been exponentially higher than the other explorations you mentioned (obviously adjusted for inflation), and with exponentially less possiblity of satisfactory ROI.

Just no point to it then, and still none.

In your opinion, Gary, and you don't know enough to make a statement like exponetially higher and no point then and still none. What if Queen Isabella didn't fund Columbus' Expedition. Do you know that? What's the ROI for Obamacare going to be? Do you know that?

ROI? Return on Investment, I suppose. Small people think exploring the unknown to make it known should be tied to a monetary return. Are you one of those, Gary?

Throw more $s on the War on Povery which is a 47 year disaster rather than Space which has been a success.

Why are you bugging me anyway? I was trying to help Wayne37 out. You don't need the help because you know so much.

I am pretty sure, by any standards of measure, it costs a helluva lot more to build a vessel and then launch and travel through outer space than on an ocean on Earth. That is pretty apparent. And the cost of ObamaCare has NOTHING to do with the cost of space travel. NOTHING! Mutually exclusive.

So are you trying to make an intelligent statement, or just political commentary? Political commentary is fine, but just don't try to claim it is anything otherwise.

"Small people"????? Nice try at a lame insult. I will take my chances compared to you in physical size, intellectual size, educational size, you pick.

How are you choosing to make this a war on poverty v. space issue? Who has said those are the two choices and they chose the poverty war?

Exactly what did the Space Race with the old Soviet Union get us besides Tang??? LOL Yes we successfully got to the moon, but now what? Colonize? Can I volunteer you to be the first to grow roots there?

And how were you "helping" him? By claiming " You don't have enough background to make fun of a person favoring a Moon Colony."? You know what his background is? Please elaborate on that for us.

Gary, your reply bothered me. I thought we were buddies.
You never answered my simple questions. You just generated a smoke screen of BS. I refuse too exchange ideas with a self designated big guy. Also when did someone ask you to name volunteers to go anywhere? What's more, let Wayne37 answer for himself. I'm sure he's capable.

Didn't mean to bother anyone, just started out making an observation.

"A moon colony should have been built then and exploration to other planets should have been done like other great explorations" But this was a funny comment. LOL
