New Bat Advice
Ok all you bat experts... help me out here. Just broke my Miken Velocit-e over this past weekend and I am in the market for a new bat. I still have my Yellow MM and my orig. gray combat but they, like me, are getting old and fragile. Would love to have the pop of my Miken (please don't lecture me Gary19.. no I don't have any pride and will use the latest technology to go yard if I can)but the durablity of my old Bomb Bat. Considering the Centurion or maybe the new Blue Combat.. Not too interested in the new White Combat (need all the barrel I can get with my weak and inconsistent swing) I prefer an end loaded bat that swings light. So... any ideas from you experts would be helpful.. Push comes to shove I guess I could just pick up another Mikken by ripping off my wife's gambling money but just seeing if anyone out there has a better idea .. I watched a video of you.. Steve Imlay hitting bombs off of you Steve Herd and thought.. hey I'll buy that bat .. but then... Steve Imlay hitting .. he could hit bombs with a toothpick and Steve Herd pitching... I might be even be able to hit a bomb off him... just kidding Steve (Herd).. thanks in advance for any thoughts.. And
.. thinking ahead.. no need to tell me to lay off the donuts, Woodie and E4.. won't happen.

Thanks... docswear AKA Mike

Richard Head, I thought we had this issue cleared up. Get the new Centurian and be happy once again.
As for the donuts.......I would never tell you to lay off them, only to share them. (Fat chance that'll happen)

Mike,

I have 2 Reeboks and when one them breaks I will get a new one. I still swing my yellow combat in BP, but when it comes game time it is the Reebok. I swing the yellow end load. I like my 29, but love my 28. I will probably go to a 30 just for the heck of it. I have had no problem with durability.

I, like softball4b, like the yellow combat and Reebok. I don't have anymore Reebok so I'm using my yellow Combats. My favorite is a 30oz endload, 13". It's on its last leg so when it breaks I'll go with my 10" yellow 30oz. I've also ordered two Centenarians. I may go with them later in the season.

docswear: Miken is a good bat, so is Combat and the new Core will most probably be good as well. But I love the Reebok balanced and end load Melee. I am not the power hitter that some of the senior players are but the ball comes off my bat like a seriously hard shot. I am also very impressed with the Vector-O. In the beginning, I was not impressed with it and so I did not use it much but at Phoenix, I let many guys hit with it and it just kept getting better. I plan to use it in the early morning games and on all cold days. Is ASA,USSSA,NSA and ISA approved with warranty.

If I can help you and/or your friends with a Reebok bat and equipment, please contact me. 970-729-3145

docswear, you made a good choice when you went for the Reebok white balanced endloaded Miken Centurian Veteran Core Combat, although I prefer the red myself. My question is: how did you justify the $1299 price tag to the missus?

like omar i prefer the red(wife's favorite color),so i would go with a Reebok red balanced endloaded Miken Centurian Veteran Core Combat boombah jak'ed nemesis tho.make sure you get one 1 oz heavier tho as it swings lite.......

it is a tad more($1389) than your choice but for the extra couple days of durability i think it is worth it.........

good luck with your choice, give us a review.....

Omar K, he's a Dr. need I say more?

Docs like others on here, he could use a wornout broomstick and still hit em 400'

DH, dont forget to look at the Worth XXX, now that you have made your decision.

One of the guys I am playing with this weekend got a new Centurion and 10 swings into BP the end cap went flying off. Seems like Combat STILL hasn't solved this problem although by know you would certainly think they should have.

yes it looks like so FOFO,but at least you can fix an endcap coming off, where you can't fix a cracked bat........

Bullet The Gold one is a"trophy" bat.I got a one for being MVP at the TOC but, I've never seen anyone use one as a game bat.I would assume that it's just a regular U2 with a special paint job. To answer your question there is a used one for sale on EBAY.

Tri18...............I can purchase any of those bats on the internet. Why would I send you an email? If you have a web site, post it. I will go there, see your prices, and purchase if you are lower than others, shipping included.
