bat/equipment bag....
I have used a boombah beast bag for the past few years and need to replace. Has anyone tried boombah's new brute rolling bag? If so, please share your experience.

Can anyone recommned a few good bat bags in the $75 - $100 range?

Thanks in advance.

Have sold a bunch of these. www.socalssa.com
Click on the bag of your choice on the upper left of the page. I'm sure some on here would give it high marks.

I bought a real nice Rawlings Bag about two years ago-----with wheels, lots of storage.

I play in two leagues, one which allows composite bats and one that does not----my bag can fit SIX bats which is convenient, plus shoes, glove, extra jerseys, bottles of fluid, it's plenty big.

AND-----it even came with two speaker for an I-POD------LOL------that are actually "pretty good" not great but decent.

I still listen to new hard rock that 20 somethings listen to in 2012, makes me feel young. Drives my team-mates nuts, but, they still think Elvis and Buddy Holly are touring the country???

But I also coach high school girls fast-pitch. A couple girls have played switch-a-roo with I-Pods and stick Lady Ga Ga and other who knows what kiddie music in there all the time :)

I got this bag on sale for about $99 when I purchased it.

Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated. i spent part of the rainy weekend searching online for a good bag. i never realized there were so many quality options, problem is that it is hard to make a choice based on photos.

i guess i will just need to go with one of the "known" brands.

Thanks again.

udaplayer, let us know what you buy and how you like it. I need a new bat bag as well, and one with wheels. I have the same frustration just looking at pictures and trying to decide.

I bought the Max Ball Bag a year ago and am very pleased. Apparently the wheels tend to fail so they included another set for free.

Won a Miken at a tournament and was pretty excited (better than a T-shirt or a hat!), but I've been disappointed with how it has worn. Wheels are too close to center so it tips easy; one zipper broke; some seams are fraying. I liked the design, but the durability is causing me to look elsewhere. Thanks for the tip on Max Ball Bags. I'll check 'em out.

Omar, I had my boombah for 8 years, wheel wear and tipping were my only complaint.
Shop around and try to actually look at them it pays off.

The Tanel Rage is a great bag, especially if you're flying to tournaments. You can put a lot of clothes in the bag and save on baggage fees.
You'll need a discount to get it under $100.

A few years back I had an Elite roller bag and liked the pull out handle on it. When buying bags I try to take in to consideration the pressure the bats could receive in a plane cargo hold with freezing temperatures and piled under other luggage. I felt the Elite gave good protection which was doubled up by the handle assembly. Minimal roll with the extending handle which I liked. The pockets inside were nicely arranged for security and travel - the downside = poor quality zippers which were small and snagged around turns and made the bag not fun to use. It was a fight every game/tourney.

I went to the Boombah Beast bag and found it to be servicable although it tends to roll over easily. It's not unusual for me to have 9-10 bats in the bag which doesn't help the roll over factor but that's life. By putting one of those BIG spring loaded C\ clips on it it helps extend the handle some because I'm tall (6'4") and minimize roll somewhat.

Not seeing one in person the Cobra bags look good, face value. I like the extending handle.
Have no idea about the pockets and zippers, overall quality though.

Page 2 (might help for traveling)

I found that using the Eagle Creek packing cubes I could carry a good amount of clothes in the Beast for travel and have an organized trip.

In Thailand I've gotten used to using a backpack that has an enveloped padded compartment built in for the laptop. I've found that I can pack enough clothes for a week including some for semi-casual dining. I've decided to bring the back pack back with me as it sure is easier then managing a roller suitcase along with a roller bat bag + computer bag.

Possibly I can piggy back the back pack on the Beast with some clips - have to find out when I get back.

Either way it seems like an easier way to travel - unless you're hung up on carting suitcases around.

Sports 55 Bomber bag is the best bag if they have stock.
Holds anything that you need .Will actually hold 10-15 bats.

Those bomber bags look nice, but no stock on my color. Also, saw where coach on another site was lambasting Sports55 for delivering product and customer service.

Do you know if any company other than Sports55 sells that bag?

Thanks in advance.

udaplaya. No it's their Bag-you won't find it elsewhere.
The issues that they have is with custom uniforms not bags. If they have your color they ship very promptly.I've never bought uni's but,I've bought a few bags from them for myself, friends and teammates and I bought the Sports 55 tanels shoes as well. Their site isn't always accurate. You might call to check for your color. (if you're interested).

The description on the bag Marv sells appears to be one of the biggest out there at 38" long. Perhaps he could post another pic or 2 of where the wheels set and maybe open or something.

Anybody that is interested in additional pictures just email me. We sell these at the tournaments. Since I put them in I think we have sold 40 to 50, including 2 team orders, in the last 6 to 8 months. I haven't had one complaint. There is a larger version as well. Its 2" wider and 4" longer 2" deeper. Less color selections and little more $$ though. wwm1@adelphia.net

Marv,
Wouldn't it be easier to post some different shots on the web kinda like cl does now with thumbnails that enlarge when clicked on.
So, what's the larger bag cost?
The email thing is looking like that other poster on here, sorry.
