Poor Mgt of a Tourney
This past weekend the Del (first State) tournament was cut short. The problem was not the weather on Sunday; that was forecasted well in advance. The problem was the short sightedness of the director. We stopped play on Friday afternoon at about 3:00 PM because no umpires were available; we stopped pay on Sat at about 3:00 for no reason. Sunday as predicted was rained out. Many teams checked out of hotels on Sat because they knew sunday was a wash.

Of course the director saved about 8 games (umpire fees) by not playing them out.
