New Website
I just wanted to let those interested know that I've started a website called Senior Softball Central. My intentions are to centralize a lot of senior softball information and provide features that aren't currently offered on senior softball sites.

To get to the website, go to www.seniorsoftballcentral.com.

The website is in it's VERY EARLY stages, so please be patient while I get it going.

Your feedback is welcome.

The header should be http://www.seniorsoftballcentral.com/index.htm.

Or, you should be able to copy the www.seniorsoftballcentral.com and paste it into the address bar of your web browser.

Thanks for letting me know though.

Thanks Taits.

I know it's going to take some effort to get it off the ground but I think it will be worth it in the long run.

Been there a few times.
Main "competition" is that there are 3 or more SB boards used by the players. Each have pro & cons.
Good luck in your endeavor.

You hit quite a few long ones yourself Alan. We have to get out a few more times before next weekend so we can make sure we're ready.

Thanks for the bat! Your customer service is outstanding. I don't know of many other places that would have gone to the lengths that you did. Team 1 Sports!

I'm not sure I'm glad the rain held off today. I didn't think it was a very good BP for me but hopefully enough to get me ready for the weekend. I think I'm going to take tomorrow as a day of rest, maybe get in the hottub at the gym.

John I sent you an email a week or so from your new message board. Did you get it? I haven't seen the posting on the tournament outlined in the email yet that's why I'm asking.

We got lucky and United put us up for the night.

I did hit that one pretty good. Too bad it was the only one I hit good this weekend. I'm glad you guys were working out so that you could carry my fat butt.

Mr. Beasley, thanks for the website information and congratulations to all the members of the South Florida Renegade Major Plus team, (Loudoun County Atlantic Coasts 50+ Champs). Thank you, (Tri18 and Beasley) for the opportunity to play on your team, (hopefully, I got my foot in the door to play Major Ball for a Northern, Virginia / Maryland / nothern NC team). I had a great time playing very competitive softball with “top shelf” teammates; best of health to all and continued success on and off the ball field. Take care and thanks again. BJ

Thanks Alan, I will with out question recommend folks to contact you for softball equipment. (I guess I should have tried the Rebok {27 oz endload} - smile.) I placed another post on the players looking to join a team, hopefully I get a few bites. Thanks again, I had fun this past weekend!

Thanks for the compliments BJ. It was great having you with us this weekend and hopefully some of the teams up your way took notice of your abilities and will give you a shot with them.

As a reference, BJ hit 5 homeruns in 13 at bats this past weekend. Not a single one of them was a solo. In two of the games we played, we were trailing going into the bottom of the last inning. In both games, BJ came to the plate and kept us moving through the line-up by not making an out.

In the field, BJ played a pretty solid outfield. We don't keep track of errors we commit, but I can't recall BJ making any. On a field with tall, thick grass, BJ fielded everything clean and threw the ball to the correct base keeping the forceplay intact whenever possible.

Good luck BJ and we wish you the best. If we're at the same fields in the future please don't hesitate to let me know so we can talk.

You guys are killing me (smile), unless you flew Southwest, who knows what you would have paid for packing bp softballs in your luggage? Then again each player could have carried on 3 or 4 s-balls, (LOL).
Take care. BJ

BJ .. Extra balls?? I guess Beaz and AT didn't tell you just HOW tight our budget is!! (lol) Thanks for coming out and helping us on short notice. I hope you find a place to play soon. I know you can definitely help a lot of teams. Enjoyed playing with you and I am sure we'll cross paths again.

Still not sure if AT (Magellan) got home yet. Never seen anyone get lost EVERYTIME we left the hotel before!!

AT do us a favor. Leave for Dalton at least 2 days in advance to make sure you get to the hotel without getting lost. And bring a car charger for your GPS because I am sure you're going to drain the battery on your phone driving around.

JB,

No ... I parked my slender catcher's body on Sanibel Island with an unlimited supply of ice cold Stella close by for 3 days. While A T was out running 11 miles, I was thinking how far it was to walk back to the hotel room from my lounge chair on the beach to replenish the ice chest.

Then while I was checking out the beach "scenery", Kim wacked me in the back of the head. Is there such a thing as a grade 3 concussion?

If Kim wacked you, it's probably a regular concussion because she's had plenty of practice wacking you by now.

Yesterday the bulletinboard at the new site reached a minor milestone by having it's 100th member register. Thank you Weppin.

As a small token of our appreciation, I sent Weppin an email requesting some information so that I could send them a pair of batting gloves courtesy of Team 1 Sports.

Abbey12,

If I remember correctly, Pasco is the next county north of Hillsboro. I don't know of any teams up that way right off hand, but Florida Half Century will be back in Tampa in August. I believe the dates are August 18 & 19.

FHC also has a web site and message board. To check it out, go to www.fhcsoftball.org. It's not bad softball but it's more like a league then a tournament. Instead of playing 1 game a week, you play 4 games over a 2 day period. It has it's pros and cons.
