July 20, 2012 Corky Men's 55 451 posts | ISA Worlds rules These are the rules for the upcoming ISA Worlds: My question is: How can you have run rule limits after 5 innings without the possibility of getting to the OPEN INNING......I know because we have won many games due to the open inning, coming from behind by as many as 14 runs down........with the limits per inning, teams must be allowed to get an OPEN inning......time limits and then an open OK.......but not run rule limits........What's your thoughts guys............ Format: Full (2-game) Round Robin to seed 55-AAA 3 game guarantee Elimination Bracket Home Runs - AAA = 3 per team per game, 1-up, Walks Run Rule = 20 after 4 and 15 after 5 innings, in bracket play only. NOTE: Retrieving out of play balls will be strictly enforced. Runs per 1/2 inning - 5 runs per ½ inning at bat (except open inning) Time Limits - RR = 65 + open inn. • Bracket = 70 + open inn. • Championship game(s) = 7 innings full Tie Breakers - Head to head (in full RR only), least runs allowed, run differential, coin toss |
July 20, 2012 SSUSA Staff 3490 posts | Corky - We have spoken with the Tournament Director this morning and he has been advised that the 'Run Rule' provisions apply only in Major Plus games playing under M+ rules (with both teams being M+). That will not be the case in any games this year at the ISA Senior Worlds, so the T.D. will cover this at the Manager Meeting. Run Rules will NOT be in play. Thanks for the heads-up on this! |
