Burlington
I was wondering who would be going to Burlington on Labor Day in the 60 major?

Billy, I had told Carson last week that we would be there. This past weekend we found that a couple of our players can't make it so we are still exploring other ways to make it there.

They are using the tattoo 44/375 ball and senior bats. Why don't people want to go? This is driving distance and why would teams not attend something that you could drive?

I think that the word had not gotten out about the ASA changes in bats. As for the NVFORCE team not being there. I think we all know the answer to that question. Thanks Harry

Birdie, you should reconsider. Teams aren't allowed to pick up and from outside their areas.
This evens the playing field somewhat.

Bruce, We tried that in Manassas and wasted our money. Lucky it was just a local tourney for us, so we did not have alot of travel expense. Thanks Harry

Just looked at the website for the Burlington tourney andeit looks like they have added some more teams.

birdie, turn2, Bruce-back in the 70's and 80's the major tournaments were all on holiday weekends. It just could be that a lot of players spent EVERY holiday at tournaments and the wives got upset, and now 'request' their husband's presence at a vacation weekend. I know my wife was happy our foray into Hemet got called off for Labor Day.
