FYI,

I do not know what the deal is for Budget rent a car, but when I checked online, all rental cars were cheap in Vegas. At the time, Advantage was the cheapest. I got a car for 4 days for $85. Yes it was their economy car. $85 included all taxes and fees, but no insurance, as my personal insurance would cover any damages on a rental car.

Andy thats a great deal, I'm not sure on any of the pricing for Budget Sarah is just someone I have used for the past 7 years for vegas rentals and she said she could help out for the tournament. Can't hurt to compare, thanks and good luck in October. Moose

I hoped we would stay at the Main Street Station, near downtown. Last week when we called to make reservations we found that rooms weren't available for Friday and Saturday. I checked with Gold Spike but my wife nixed that, said she wanted something a little nicer. :)
Anyway it was $250 plus taxes and fees for five nights, Wednesday-Sunday. The total would probably have been $335 or so.
We called Harrah's and using comps got the five nights for $108, total, tax included.
So, if you belong to any player's clubs try that casino. They might give you a deal.
I've stayed at Eastside Cannery before and found it to be acceptable, just a long drive from downtown and the strip.
You have to decide where you want to stay, the Strip, Downtown or away from both.
Good luck!
