55 Major Division - Omega QSE Champions
I want to compliment the Omega QSE Const.(MD). This team has an excellent combination of athleticism, power, and sportmanship. Their victory was well deserved and they will compete effectively at the Major Plus level. NCI had three games with Omega and all were well played and competitive. I missed the finals of the winners bracket and part of the championship game because of my commitment to GSF in the 60s, but what I did experence was fun.

I do want to apologize on behalf of my teammate for his outburst in the "if" game. He failed to wear his wristband to the plate and it resulted in him being called out at a very critical stage in the game. His resulting meltdown and bat throwing is not representative of our team and should never be accepted or tolerated. The Omega manager correctly identified the situation and called the umpire's attention to it. No different than us calling attention to the umpire when we thought one of their players left too soon on a catch. Both resulted in an out, but only one resulted in an ejection.

NCI is as competitive as anyone and we were playing great softball. Words cannot described how offended our team was and especially Jim Davis - Sponsor and John Crawford - player/manager by this individual's actions. I know what John said to the Omega team, but that is private.

Lastly, nothing should detract from the overall body of work by both teams. Again, CONGRATS to Omega well deserved Champions.

SPA has the same requirement.

It probably has to do with a requirement to extend liability insurance coverage and of course, player identification.

I know from experience that something of this type would not be instituted unless there was a significant reason.

No one wants more bureaucracy than necessary.

As a member of NCI, along with Mike, I also want to compliment Omega QSE Const, They are a very solid team and they will compete effectively at Major Plus...

I also want to want apologize on behalf of team for the outburst in the "IF" game. NCI is a respectful team and the actions by ONE member, does not in anyway represent the whole team, Jim Davis and John Crawford....

Congrats OMEGA... ;) you guys are a class act and well deserved the win. Hope to you all of you guys again .. maybe in FL. or VA.

Team NCI and Mike great being your teammate... we did very good this year and let's stay the course for next year...

Mike,

I know many of the guys from NCI and was sorry to hear what occurred. I'm sure this single event affected the entire NCI team negatively, and made a otherwise great softball weekend end badly for you and your teammates. From a sportsmanship standpoint, embarrassed and offended is the word I heard used. This type of behavior should never be tolerated and has no place in this game we have the privilege to play at our age.

Congratulations to Omega QSE, a great team who is on quite a roll. We played them on Friday and knew right away that they would certainly be in the mix.
