Nov. 24, 2012 bogie Men's 65 448 posts | Swing Makeover Series #2 now on youtube"Driving the Hips Open for Power & Consistency This is the second in a series of 12 Youtube Clips on using top young and senior pro's plus our staff.. to help explain a natural power line drive & homerun rotational swing, in as simple a manner as possible. This one progresses from SMakeover #1, where we used a linear step to help transfer the weight and allow the hips to turn more freely. IN SM#2, we show how to Lower, Load, Time and Drive the hips open with a good body angle of attack. Once a hitter is consistent doing this swing, aiming at the top or bottom of the ball and placement becomes much easier. Hall, Larsen, Connell, McCollum, Isenhower, Branch, Helmer, Mack, Bumgardner plus seniors including Imlay, are shown and a few discuss the technique. We use 240 fps cameras for some nice slow motion shots. It's free, so no complaining about the price, ha 8 minutes long in hd..if it doesnt play smoothly, put on pause and let your computer load it up for several minutes. HD takes some memory. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MEQE_YkCSaA |

Nov. 27, 2012 canIjack Men's 60 322 posts | Hey Mike, I was just watching the Video and I think I'll have to learn that dance step. SO I can generate more bat speed and power to my line drive swing. BUT I also want to add that famous yell of yours. So at which point in the swing do I yell WHOWAwAwAwAwAwAwAwA? LOL.LOL When I rotate my hips or at contact with the ball? Just joking with you big guy, Happy Holidays, Kennard |
