Recent bat poll
There was a bat poll recently that asked which bat is the best bat on the market right now? The results were:

Miken Ultra II (red or black) - 42%
Reebok Melee (yellow or red) - 25%
Combat Ambush - 17%
Combat Original (gray) - 17%

@Bruce - It was on another site's forum. There weren't very many players that responded but the results are from the ones that did.

They have a question every month that relates to Senior Softball. The current question has to do with the AAA homerun rule.

I can't say which one here because I don't want to get ban'd from this board. Drop me a line at jrbeasley@jbeaz.net for the info.

John,
How sad it is, to have to be worried about being banned for mentioning another web site as a source of information for senior softball players to go to. What could they possibly be afraid of. The site you are talking about will get better as more people find out about it. Happy New Year.

Happy New Year to you Al. I haven't forgotten your pictures, I've just been overtaken by life.

I understand the position that's been taken even though I may not agree. It's their board and their rules. No problem.

I know on spa's survey they asked which bat out of the 4 or 5 did I like the best. We all know 45% of the players polled don't have a red & black miken. I still see moere black mikens than any other senior bats

I know, I know, the Right to Bare Arms is our 2nd Amendment. Therefore, that would be Unconstitutional! And after All, Weapons don't Kill the Game, People Do ! ! !

Put in a vote for me on the Ambush. It broke in quickly and the sweet spot is noticeably larger than my Reebok or Miken. I recommend the Ambush as one of the top bats out there...

Does "bare arms" mean wearing short sleeves in the winter? You used to have a right to take a dump in the woods. Now only "bears" have that right.

The SSUSA Rulebook DOES protect the player's right to bare arms, at:

§3.8UNIFORM
A. Tank tops and sleeveless jerseys – A male player may not wear a tank top or sleeveless jersey except a sleeveless jersey manufactured in that style. Women may wear sleeveless shirts.

I'm not too bothered by bare arms, but the occasional bare midriff because of a beer belly—ouch!
