THIRTEEN TEAMS COMPETE AT MID-WEST SEASON OPENER

TULSA, OK.  --- The 2016 Mid-West Season Opener took place March 19-20 here at the Carl Smith Softball Complex.

Steel City A's had a strong showing in the championship bracket of the 50 AAA Division going 3-0. After losing its first game against Steel City A's, the Iowa Demons won two straight games to come out of the elimination bracket, eventually falling to Steel City for a second time.

The 50/55 Major Division saw a best two-out-of-three game series between Midwest Driving School and Oklahoma Rhino, with Midwest Driving School going 2-0.

In the 55 AAA/AA and 60 Major Division, Mayhem went 2-0 in bracket play, while in the 60 AAA/AA Division, The Dugout 60 defeated Oklahoma Mudcats to force an “if” game, which would not be played based on a mutual decision.
