SSUSA STAFF HIGHLIGHT: JERRY JACKSON

Jerry Jackson, a Senior Softball USA National Director, has been involved with the game of softball for nearly 45 years. He began as an umpire in 1971 in Pekin, IL.
Jackson ran his first tournament in Central Illinois in 1981 and would later become a Masters National Director with USSSA in 1993, getting his start in senior softball. In 2000, Jackson would join Independent Sports Association (ISA) and SSUSA helping to run tournaments. Jaskson was made a VP with ISA and a National Director with SSUSA a short time later. With SSUSA, Jackson was involved in developing a number of key policies, including the idea of regions, that are still in place today.
For his efforts and influence in directing hundreds of senior tournaments, Jackson was inducted in the ISA Hall of Fame in 2013 and the SSUSA Hall of Fame in 2014.
