COLUMBUS, IN QUALIFIER RECAP

COLUMBUS, IND. - At the 2016 Columbus, IN Qualifier held here at Lincoln Park, eight teams competed across three divisions.

In the 50 Major division, top seed Big Ten Softball/Warner Roofing went a perfect 2-0 in bracket play, defeating Brickyard Classics 22-16 and LSDJN/MWP 20-14.

Blue Grass 50’s had a strong showing in bracket play in the 50 AAA division, as the No. 2 seed went 3-0, taking down Chi Town Assault 16-13 Team Illinois 18-5 and Chi Town Assault for a second time, 20-18.

The 60/65 AA division featured a best three-out-of- five game series between Indy Fog and Indiana Legends/Columbus. Indy Fog won the first three games to sweep the series.
