2016 GILA MONSTER RECAP

SILVER CITY, NM – Nine teams competed at the 2016 GILA Monster, which was held at Scott Park during the weekend of May 21-22.

In the 55’s/60’s division, that featured six teams, Mr. Softball came out of the elimination side of the bracket to double dip previously undefeated El Paso Old School in both the championship (24-16) and “if” (17-13) games. El Paso Old School defeated NM Diamond Cats, New Mexico Boomers 60 and Mr. Softball to reach the championship game. New Mexico Boomers 55 finished third.

In the three-team 50’s division, Vega Plumbing defeated El Paso Spurs in the championship game.
