2016 TOP GUN/SSUSA ROCK ‘N’ RENO TUNE-UP

ESCONDIDO, CA – The 2016 Top/Gun SSUSA Rock ‘N’ Reno Tune-Up was held at Kit Carson Park May 12-15.

The six-team 50/55 division featured a round robin format with best record winning the division. Top Gun Rookies (50 AAA) took the division via its 4-1 record. Reloaded (55 Major), Southern California Braves (55 AAA) and Tucson Hammertime Softball (50 Major) all finished with a 3-2 record. R & R Strokers 55 (55 Major) and Top Gun 55’s (55 Major) both finished with a 1-4 record.

The 70/75 division also featured a round robin format with best record winning the division. Sons of Pitches (70 AAA) and Southern California Crush (70 AAA) each finished with an identical 4-1 record. Sothern California Crush would win the division via its head-to-head win over Sons of Pitches, 18-7. Top Gun 70 (70 Major) finished with a 3-2 record, while Top Gun 75 Classics (75 Major Plus) finished with a 1-4 record. Top Gun Silver 75’s (75 AAA) went 0-4 in round robin play.

Top Gun 65 Mavericks (65 Major) defeated Fountain Valley Outlaws (65 AAA) in the 65 division.
