Sept. 1, 2016

Utica, Michigan - An impressive effort from Tucker Rutherford led the Louisville Slugger Warriors, made up of active duty and veteran servicemen wounded during combat in Iraq and Afghanistan post-9/11, to a 27-26 win over Detroit Connection, a 55 AAA team in SSUSA, on Saturday, Sept. 10 at Jimmy John’s Stadium. Rutherford rocked Detroit Connection with two home runs, going deep in the fifth and seventh innings. He went 4-for-5 in the game with three RBIs and three runs scored.
