23 TOC QUALIFIERS HIGHLIGHT 2017 SSUSA SEASON

Dec. 1, 2016

SACRAMENTO – With the new year starting, the Senior Softball USA 2017 season is already in full swing, as hundreds of teams have begun their quest for a Tournament of Champions berth with the Winter National (Florida) and Winter World (Arizona) Championships this past November.

TOC qualifiers continue during March with the 40’s Spring World Championships (California), Spring World Championships (Utah and Nevada), and the Spring National Championships (Florida).

The Tidewater Classic (Virginia) and the LVSSA/SSUSA Southwest Championships (Nevada) will be played in April, while May will feature the Atlantic Coast Championships (Virginia) and the Rock ‘N Reno Challenge Cup (Nevada).

June begins with a new TOC qualifier in the Steve Simmons Memorial/Mosquitoland Classic (Minnesota), while the Texas State Championships, later in the month, will have a new host in El Paso.

Ending the month of June and starting off a jam-packed July is the Northern California Championships, followed by the Southern California Championships. The Northeast Championships (New York), Midwest Championships (Arkansas), Jim Sherman Memorial Northwest Championships (Oregon) and ISA Senior World Series (Indiana) all highlight the dog days of summer.

The Western National Championships (California) also will be held in July, as teams west of the Mississippi will get their crack at the first leg of the Triple Grand Slam.

August will see teams compete at the Southern Championships (Alabama), Northern Championships (Michigan) and the Rocky Mountain Championships (Colorado).

The Eastern National Championships (North Carolina) also will be held in August, as teams east of the Mississippi River will begin their attempt at the first leg of the Triple Grand Slam.

The 23rd and final TOC qualifier of the 2017 season is the biggest Senior Softball tournament in the nation, as hundreds of teams will once again converge on Las Vegas in September and October at the LVSSA/SSUSA World Masters Championships (Nevada).
