Super Senior's Giving Back to Community in their Own Way

April 1, 2017

Happy Valley, OR - For the fourth time, senior softball players gathered at Hood View Sports Complex for what they call early season “ice breaker” games for charity.

On April 5th, some 110 senior men, aged 60 to 87 answered the call from the event sponsor, Vancouver Metro Senior Softball Association (VMSSA) and played ball games for charitable causes.

Participants were divided into eight equal teams playing two games each.  The one event requirement was for each participant to drop a donation amount into a designated donation box upon arrival at the fields.

After paying field use fees, $3,050.00 will be donated with some $2,300.00 designated for Alzheimer’s Association, and, $750.00 to VMSSA’s field of dreams project at Pacific Park in Vancouver.
