Midwest Series Wraps Up with Missouri Open and Kansas City Classic
Aug. 1, 2017
The Missouri Open (June 1 – June 4) and the Kansas City Classic (August 10 -13) concluded the inaugural Midwest Series.
The series, which was run by Will Rogers, also included the Cow Town Classic (March 30-April 2) and the Oil City Classic (May 4-7).
“It was received tremendously by the teams and I believe was a great success,” said Rogers. “A few other teams in the running could not play in the last tournament because of injuries or the race would have been much tighter.”
Teams that played in all four qualifiers accumulated points based on how they finished: 10 points for First Place, 8 points for Second Place, 6 points for Third Place, 4 points for Fourth Place and 1 point for participating.
Teams with the most accumulated points, no matter which division, received $400 toward their entry fee for the 2017 LVSSA/SSUSA World Masters Championships.
