2017 KC Monarchs Qualifier Recap

Lee’s Summit, MO – Twenty-one teams entered the 2017 KC Monarchs Qualifier here at Frank White Sports Complex, July 27-30.

B&B Drywall/World Gym played Midwest Elite in a best two-out-of-three game series in the Men’s 40 Major Plus/Major division, as B&B Drywall/World Gym swept the series by scores of 25-24 and 27-20.

KC Classics won the Men’s 50 Major division, defeating both KC Monarchs 50 (20-9) and Oklahoma Rhino (14-13) in a single-elimination bracket. Against Rhino in the championship game, KC Classics scored five in the bottom of the open to complete the walk-off victory.

TSS defeated KC Vintage, 17-9, in the championship game of the Men’s 50 AAA division; while J & J’s Sports/Miken/demons swept Midwest Driving School in best two-out-of-three game series for the Men’s 55 Major division, by scores of 20-14 and 20-19.

The Men’s 55 AAA/AA division was captured by Nebraska Silver Bullets, who defeated KC Renegades 55’s, 21-17, in the championship game.

KC Renegades 60’s scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the open against KC Thunder in the championship game of the Men’s 60 Major/AAA division to complete the 23-22 walk-off.
