18 Teams Compete in LVSSA/SSUSA President’s Day Classic

LAS VEGAS – The inaugural 2018 LVSSA/SSUSA President’s Day Classic was held here at Sunset Park, Feb. 17-19.

A total of 18 teams competed in the Men’s 40 through 65 age divisions.

In the four-team Men’s 40 Masters Platinum division, DTA/KJE/SUP (CA), making their SSUSA debut, defeated Desert Springs (NV), 36-21, in the “if” game, after dropping the championship game 27-25. Lazer Sports (NV) finished in third place, while PA 40’s (NV) finished in fourth.

The three-team Men’s 50 Gold/Platinum division saw West Coast Water 50’s (NV) defeat Stadium (CA) 25-23 in the championship game. Sin City Warriors (CA) finished in third place.

Sin City Softball (NV) won the four-team Men’s 60 Silver/Gold division, taking down LVSSA Raiders (NV) 22-18 in the championship game to complete a flawless weekend. Family (NV) finished in third place, while Mountain Men (UT) rounded out the division in fourth place.

Rezults Realty (NV) dominated the three-team Men’s 65 Gold division, defeating Las Vegas Stars (NV) 37-24 in the championship game. Runner Blue (UT) finished in third place.

The final division, the four-team Men’s 70/75 Gold division, saw Tharaldson’s (NV) complete a perfect weekend, going 2-0 in seeding play, and 3-0 in bracket play, including a 17-5 win over Doughboys (NV) in the championship game. Elite 70’s LVSSA (NV) and Las Vegas 75 Coyotes (NV), finished in third and fourth place, respectively.
