14 Teams Square Off in Rain Shortened Top Gun Kick Off

TEMECULA, Calif. – With rain shortening the 2018 Top Gun Kick Off, 14 teams hit the field here at Patricia H. Birdsall Sports Park for a single day on March 1.
The tournament, originally scheduled for Feb. 28-March 1, was shortened to a single day due to weather.
The 14 teams were split into three groups.
Group A consisted of Over the Edge (Men’s 65 Major), Top Gun 65 Mavericks (Men’s 65 Major), SoCal Gusto (Men’s 70 Major Plus) and Top Gun Patriots (Men’s 70 Major). Over the Edge was crowned the group winner due to its 2-1 record.
In Group B (65 AAA), Fountain Valley Outlaws, No Guts/No Glory, OC-Mustangs, So Cal Warriors, and Top Gun Nomads, all battled it out for the top spot. So Cal Warriors, No Guts/No Glory and Top Gun Nomads all finished with 2-1 records, with So Cal Warriors earning the tie-breaker via runs allowed.
The final group, Group C, included Git-R-Done 65 (Men’s 65 AA), Top Gun Olde Dawgs (Men’s 65 AA), Git-R-Done 70 (Men’s 70 AAA), Southern California Crush (Men’s 70 AAA), and Top Gun 6 Bits (Men’s 75 AAA). Posting a perfect 3-0 record, Git-R-Done 70 clinched first place.
