Fifteen Teams Compete in Inaugural Cape Coral Qualifier

CAPE CORAL, Fla. – The inaugural Cape Coral Qualifier was held here at Northwest Sports Complex on April 28-29 with 15 teams in action.

Starting off with the five-team Men’s 40/50 Platinum Division, One Payment/Euler-Hermes (FL) posted a perfect 4-0 record in round robin play to take first place. Suncoast Adidas 50 (FL) finished second with a 3-1 record, while Suncoast Adidas 40 (FL) finished third with a 2-2 record. .40 Cal (FL) and Bamm Tank (FL) rounded out the remaining teams with records of 1-3 and 0-4, respectively.

RBC Wealth Management (FL) won the three-team Men’s 50/55 Platinum Division, edging out LeMay Contracting (FL), 17-16, in the championship game. No Shows (FL) finished in third place.

Vecter Scorpions 50’s (FL) defeated Wise Guys (FL), 25-14, in the championship game of the three-team Men’s 50 AAA division. Miami Canes finished third.

Venom (FL) bested Who’s on First (FL) in a best two-out-of-three game series. Venom took the opening game, 20-15; while Who’s on First answered with a thrilling 18-17 win in game two to force the third and decisive game. In the rubber match, Venom was triumphant with a 13-9 victory.

Ted Todd Insurance 60’s (FL) swept Florida Blue by scores of 26-17 and 14-10, respectively, in a best two-out-of-three game series.
