2018 KC Monarch Qualifier Recap

LEE’S SUMMIT, MO – The 2018 KC Monarch Qualifier was held here at Frank White Sports Complex, July 26-29, with 25 teams in action.

Midwest Elite (KS) defeated KC Monarchs 40 (KS) in a best two-out-of-three game series to win the Men’s 40 Division.

Team O50 (MO) won the four-team Men’s 50/55 Platinum Division. KC Classics (MO) finished in second place, while Oklahoma Rhino finished in third.

KC Vintage (MO) won the five-team Men’s 50 AAA Division, going 3-0 in bracket play. Midwest Connection (NE) finished second, while American Mortgage Pro’s (OK) finished third.

Bear’s Ballers (MO) took home the four-team Men’s 55 AAA Division, edging out Antiques of Iowa City (IA) 9-8 in the championship game. KC Monarchs 55 (MO) finished third.

Mayhem (OK) won the three-team Men’s 60 Major division, defeating Nebraska 60’s, 25-21, in the championship game. Kansas City Barons (MO) finished third.

In the three-team Men’s 60 Silver Division, Big Daddy’s Donuts (MO) defeated KC Thunder (MO) and Reco Nebraska in the single elimination bracket to win the division. Reco finished second, while KC Thunder finished third.

KC Kids (KS) swept Fossils 65 (IA) to win the Men’s 65 AAA Division, while R&D Leverage (MO) swept NSC Chets 65s (NE) to win the Men’s 65 AA Division.
