Join the SSUSA Clubs & Leagues Family in 2019
Nov. 1, 2018
The 2018 season saw 143 leagues from 25 states sanctioned by Senior Softball-USA (SSUSA) through its Clubs and Leagues program. Nearly 40 of those leagues were sanctioned in Florida, the most from any state.
Frank Galuppo, Florida Regional Director/Southwest Florida Metropolitan Director and Tampa/St. Petersburg Metro Director, has done a tremendous job in growing the SSUSA Clubs and Leagues program in his regions.
“The camaraderie among the leagues is fantastic,” said Galuppo, who is the former Commissioner of the Collier County Senior Softball League, and current member of the league’s Competition Committee.
“In Florida, we get a big influx of players,” continued Galuppo. “I constantly get calls from snowbirds who come down during the Winter months looking for leagues to play in.”

As part of the Clubs and Leagues Program, SSUSA provides promotion of leagues on its website (www.seniorsoftball.com), which has provided players a way to identify local leagues in their area. It has been a very successful partnership.
SSUSA also provides the best deals on approved softballs with free delivery when ordering six dozen or more.
Steve Simmons, a former SSUSA National Director, had the vision for Clubs and Leagues to be able to register and play their way. Playing with SSUSA, leagues are able to use senior bats from the approved Bat Policy, along with guidelines from the SSUSA Rulebook.
