Feb. 1, 2019
Louisville Slugger Warriors
POLK COUNTY, Fla. – In what has become a time-honored tradition at the TOC, the winning team of Wednesday’s TOC All-Star Game took on the Louisville Slugger Warriors in an exhibition game on Feb. 9.
The LS Warriors are an extremely competitive team that consists of U.S. Military Veterans and Active Duty personnel, that have either suffered a loss of limb, partial limb, digits, eye, and other serious limb deformities, plus have other prostheses all due to congenital, disease, or trauma-related reasons.
Scoring early and often, the LS Warriors jumped out to a commanding 8-2 lead after two innings. The LS Warriors offense continued to roll, scoring five runs in the third, fifth, and seventh innings. The LS Warriors defense was just as impressive, holding the TOC All-Stars scoreless in innings two through five.
The nine-inning game would end after seven innings via mercy rule, 29-9.
