For many SSUSA players, softball is life, and you never turn down an opportunity to take in some BP, even when you are on an island vacation with your significant other.

Dave Lind, a manager/player with PDX/DeMarini (Men’s 50 Major) from Portland, OR, explains how the game will always find you during his recent trip to the Paradise of the Pacific.

“I recently took a vacation to Maui with my girlfriend and while I was there I ran into a group of guys taking batting practice just off the beach at a park in Kihei. After a few minutes chatting with the guys, they invited me join them at their next BP session the following Monday, Wednesday and Friday.”

“Once the word had got out within their softball community that I was in town, they offered to loan me a glove and bats, and even invited me to watch their league playoffs.  I definitely took them up on all of their offers to hit and come out to watch their games. I had such a good time hanging out with all of the guys that I wanted take a moment to thank them all for showing me the Aloha ‘softball’ spirit and letting me get my work in while on vacation.”

“Thanks again, Jeff, Spider, Ron, Dave, Kelly, Nick and Ron.  Sorry if I missed a couple of guys.”
