Midwest Series Returns for 2020

Oct. 1, 2019

The Midwest Series, which made its debut in 2017, returns in 2020.

The series kicks off with the Cow Town Classic in Shawnee, KS (April 2 - 5), then moves to Tulsa, OK, for the Oil City Classic (April 30 - May 3), before then going off to Columbia, MO, for the Missouri Open (June 4 - 7; June 13-14), and finally concluding with the Kansas City Classic in Lee's Summit, MO (August 6 - 9).

To date, 15 teams have had half of their World Masters Championships fee paid by playing in the Midwest Series. In 2020, five teams will again have half of their entry fee for the WMC paid for.

The rules are simple and only require your team to play ball!
1. You must play in all four qualifiers to be eligible (the top five teams with the most points overall, from all divisions combined, will get $400 paid to SSUSA toward their WMC fee).
2. Your team must be a rostered and sanctioned SSUSA team.
3. There must be an average of four or more teams in your division (some divisions can be combined using SSUSA equalizer).

Point system: Five (5) points awarded for first place in your division, four (4) points for second, three (3) points for third, two (2) points for fourth and one (1) point to all remaining teams.

Points will be tabulated following the Kansas City Classic, with the top five teams being awarded their credit thereafter. This year, a wildcard team will be drawn from qualifying teams as an additional team to receive a credit towards the WMC.

As a bonus, when you play in the Cow Town Classic and pay full price, in each succeeding tournament in the series you get to deduct $25 off your entry fee. So, when you get to the Kansas City Classic in August, your entry fee could be only $325.

We will again offer T-shirts for each divisional winner and offer what we hope are some of the best umpires possible for your games.

Enter as soon as possible as some divisions fill early. Contact Tournament Director Will Rogers at 816-916-7891 or willsharkdaddy@aol.com.
