SSUSA International Tour Pushed Back to 2021

June 1, 2020

Senior Softball USA will be postponing the Jewels of Eastern Europe Tour, with tournaments in Prague and Budapest, until next year.

“The reason is the uncertainty of the pandemic, international airline travel and the potential restrictions in the Czech Republic and Hungary,” said Terry Hennessy, SSUSA’s chief executive officer.

The 32nd annual SSUSA International Tour was originally scheduled for early May 2020, but was moved back to October 2020 when the pandemic struck America and Europe.

“We will be moving the Jewels of Eastern Europe Tour back to April 29- May 11, 2021.  These are the equivalent dates to the original time of the tour in 2020,” said Hennessy.

SSUSA will compete in an annual Heavy Hitters Tournament in Prague, which is a benefit tournament for schools, and a tournament in the wine village of Szendentre, near Budapest, along with historic site visits, shopping and dining during the Jewels of Eastern Europe Tour.
