Looking Ahead to the 2021 Season

Oct. 1, 2020

Senior Softball-USA (SSUSA) has added some new tournaments in the coming months, to go along with the Winter National and World Championships, which traditionally begin each season.

Contact SSUSA (916-326-5303 / info@seniorsoftball.com) to get your team into any of these upcoming tournaments.

OKTOBERFEST CLASSIC

The inaugural Oktoberfest Classic, originally scheduled to be a 2021 roster event, was changed to a 2020 roster event.

As a 2020 roster event, winners will now earn a berth to the upcoming Tournament of Champions (TOC) in January 2021.

The Oktoberfest Classic will be held in Polk County, FL, home of the TOC, October 24 - 25.

Games will be played at Auburndale Sports Complex and Walker Road Softball Complex.

Entry deadline is tomorrow, Friday, October 9, and the entry fee is $350.

WINTER NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

FT. MYERS BEACH

The 2021 season will officially kick-off in November with the Winter Nationals Championships (Florida) and the Winter World Championships (Arizona). Both tournaments are 2021 roster events.

The 2020 Winter National Championships will once again be held in Ft. Myers, November 10-15. The Winter Nationals draw over 100 teams annually, making it one of the marquee senior softball tournaments on the East Coast.

Entry deadline is October 20, and the entry fee is $575.

Tentative field assignments have been posted on the tournament page. Please be sure to book your lodging through Lee County Sports Housing.

WINTER WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

SAGUARO CACTUS

The 2020 Winter World Championships will once again be held in Phoenix, November 17 – 22. The Winter Worlds is among the best senior softball tournaments in the country, drawing close to 200 teams a year, in recent seasons.

Entry deadline is October 27, and the entry fee is $620.

Lodging information will be posted on the tournament page soon.

SSUSA HOLIDAY CLASSIC

The Canyon's Complex - St. George, UT

Along with the usual suspects in the Winter National and Worlds, teams will also have an opportunity to qualify around the holidays, as SSUSA will introduce the Holiday Classic, another 2021 roster event, scheduled for December 12-13, in St. George, UT.

Entry deadline is November 30, and the entry fee is $450. All games are scheduled at The Canyon’s Complex.

The Holiday Classic was added onto the SSUSA slate due to popular demand by players who want to play in St. George again (which hosts the annual Spring World Championships, and recently the first two sessions of the World Masters). St. George also wanted SSUSA to return with additional tournaments.

Be sure to save the date for the first SSUSA tournament of the New Year, as the Top Gun Winter Classic, tentatively scheduled for January 12-17, will be held in Bullhead City, AZ.
