You never know who you're going to run into at a Senior Softball tournament...
Jeffrey Tuggay, one of our great umpires from Arizona and formerly California, was umpiring a game in the Western Nationals at Elk Grove's Bartholomew Park to be specific. While talking with the players, he discovered that one of the players was his junior high school woodshop teacher, Virgil Dahl.

"Mr. Dahl was one of my favorite teachers along with a few others at Junction Avenue Junior High in Livermore, CA.," says Tuggay. "I've always wondered how he was doing because I knew back then he played fast pitch softball."
Virgil plays for Lincoln Hills Coyotes 80 and has been with Senior Softball USA since 2010.
Thank you to Jeffrey and Virgil for sharing this story and being a part of SSUSA.
