The Men’s 50+ teams and the International Co-Ed division played roughly 400 games in four days to close out a record-setting 2025 Senior Softball-USA World Championships.

The tournament ended Oct. 5 with the final five division champions crowned following a 15-day event that drew 666 teams from 40 states, Canada, Guam and Panama to Nevada’s desert city of Las Vegas.

Reyes/Reinas Diamantes de Panama (Diamond King/Queens of Panama) competed in the International Co-Ed division for the fourth time since 2018.

Teams from Texas, California, Nevada and New Jersey celebrated on the tourney’s final day, which saw four of the five champions finish with unblemished records.

One of those unbeatens, Fattboyz/Front Row of California, also captured a Triple Grand Slam title by winning the 16-team 50+ Major Plus bracket after also having won the USA National Championship game during seeding play.

SSUSA World Champions receive free Jostens rings, a golden trophy and a berth to the Tournament of Champions in Florida. Triple Grand Slam titlists also earn free Beebe shoes and a handsome plaque. Winning teams of a USA National Game also won a free DeMarini bat.

Session 4 also featured some of the best weather of the tournament, with mild temperatures and sunny skies greeting the teams daily. This was a big contrast to the first three sessions, which battled rain delays, shortened games and rewritten schedules.

“The sun rose and the rain stayed away for the fourth session,” said Terry Hennessy, SSUSA’s chief executive officer. “Large divisions, many close games and beautiful weather capped the 2025 World Championships.”

Session 4 results:

Men's 50+ Major Plus: In the largest 50+ Major Plus bracket in at least 20 years, top-seeded Fattboyz (photo below) capped a 7-0 weekend with a 35-24 title-game triumph over the Canadian team Regeee’s Rams of Ontario. During bracket play, Fattboyz knocked off Diablos, Blue Pill Mafia, Freehold Buick and Suncoast before facing Regeee’s Rams in the finale. The third-seeded Regeee’s Rams won six elimination games before falling to Fattboyz. Suncoast captured third in the 16-team bracket. Baugh Ford/Barrow Power of Florida nabbed fourth. USA National Game: Fattboyz/Front Row outlasted Suncoast 50s of Florida 31-25.

Men's 50+ Major: This 33-team division broke into two “pods” for bracket play, where the second-seeded National pod team Deluxe Bakery of New Jersey (photo below) capped an 8-0 tournament with a 18-14 championship victory over the top-seeded American pod team Automotive Triage of North Carolina. After a close battle through three innings, Deluxe went ahead by eight runs in the fourth inning and never let Automotive Triage get closer than four runs after that. Yeager's/Max Batz of Florida, which had been seeded fifth in the American pod, finished third overall. The Silverbacks/SB 50 of California, which had been seeded seventh in the American pod, earned fourth place. USA National Game: Automotive Triage 25, A&B Plumbing of California 20.

Men's 50+ AAA: This 58-team division also broke into two pods for bracket play, with the third-seeded American pod team El Paso Strong (photo below) capping an 8-0 tournament with a thrilling 26-25 championship victory over the 16th seed from the National pod, Freak 50s of Texas. Freak scored seven runs in the top of the seventh to grab a one-run lead before El Paso Strong scored twice in the bottom of the inning for the win. M&J Precision/Twin States Softball of Alabama, which had been seeded second in the National pod, earned third place. The 12th seeded American pod team G-Brand/Bad Rep of Michigan snagged fourth place. USA National Game: Old Skool/Racehorse Tavern/Girard Club of Pennsylvania 29, EUV Tech of California 17.

Men's 50+ AA: The second-seeded Gulf Coast Hurricanes of Texas defeated the top-seeded Nor-Cal Hitmen of California 18-11 in the championship game of this 10-team division. The Hurricanes trailed the first half of the game before taking a one-run lead with a five-run fourth inning. It stretched the lead every inning after that, in part by holding the Hitmen to only one run over the final four frames. The fourth-seeded Friars Guam 50s captured third place. Third-seeded Team 307 of Wyoming nabbed fourth.

Friars Guam 50 vs. Sindalun Guahan 50's, both Guam teams, meet again in 50+ AA bracket play Friday morning of Session 4.

International Co-Ed: Fourth-seeded O&S/Berries Barbershop of Nevada got revenge for its only tournament loss, a 15-5 rout in seeding play, by defeating the same team, top-seeded Throwin’ Shade of California, 10-7 in the title game.  Seventh-seeded LS/ One Roofing/ Meat Market of Nevada (photo below) finished third. Third-seeded Sunday Woodbat of Nevada took fourth.
