Kirk L. Kauzlarich: December 18, 1950-March 17, 2008

May 1, 2008 – Senior Softball-USA



Kirk L. KAUZLARICH Kirk Lawrence Kauzlarich, 57, died on March 17, 2008 after a 1½ year battle with cancer. He will be dearly missed by his many friends and family members. Kirk lived his life devoted to his two daughters, Kayli and Whitney, his many friends and his love of sports (football, basketball and softball). Kirk was born in Renton, Washington on December 18, 1950 to Larry and Vi Kauzlarich. He was raised in Renton and graduated from Renton High School in 1969. He loved Renton and what Renton had to offer, and remained there until his death. Kirk graduated from Seattle University with an Education Degree. Even through Kirk graduated from Seattle U he was a die-hard Husky fan to the very end. His enduring passion for Husky football resulted in many memorable adventures around the country. Kirk recently closed his painting business (KK Enterprises) that he ran for over 20 years. He was a well-respected business man in the commercial painting field. Kirk was married to Debbie King in 1983. They later divorced. Kirk has two wonderful daughters, Kayli Kauzlarich and Whitney Kauzlarich. They were the light of his life. Kirk was an avid sportsman. He spent his free time with friends playing softball and basketball, and spent many years coaching girl's basketball. In addition to his two girls, Kirk is survived by his two sisters, Joni Anderson of Carlton, Oregon, Jami Egland of Carlton, Oregon; brother-in-law Dean Anderson of Carlton, Oregon; Nephews, Luke Mayfield, Zach Anderson and Tommy Egland; Niece, Elle Anderson. His parents preceded him in death. A tribute to Kirk will be held on Friday, March 28th at 2:00 pm at the Jack's Restaurant, 3901 NE 4th, Renton, WA 98056. Memorials may be made to the Friends of the Kauz, PO Box 275, Carlton, Oregon 97111. Kirk's family appreciates the ongoing love and support from all of his friends and family.
