KIDS AND KUBS: ART KELSEY 91 YEARS YOUNG AND STILL PLAYING

Clarence Faucett
Art Kelsey was born in 1918 in Davenport, Iowa, and joined the Florida-based Kids & Kubs team in 1992. After a year on probation, he was accepted as a lifetime member in 1993.

Kelsey is the only player still active at this time who played on the 80 Division World Championship team in Schaumburg, Ill., in 1998. He pitched and won all seven games for the Kids & Kubs. He is the teamís oldest active player.

Now at age 91 he is still pitching four days a week with two days in Clearwater in the Three Score and Over AAA Division and two days with the Kids & Kubs.

His wife, Irene, (70 years in May 2010) is a faithful fan at most of the games.
