TEAM MAYHEM WREAKS HAVOC IN TEXAS CHAMPIONSHIPS

DALLAS – A Lone Star State Tradition, the 4th annual Texas State Championships here attracted more than 40 Senior Softball teams in June.The Texas State Championships, played at the state-of-the-art Keist Park Complex, drew teams from five states.
The 50AAA division saw eight teams compete in furious bracket play, with Team Mayhem exacting its revenge on San Antonio Softball. San Antonio had sent Team Mayhem into the loser’s bracket in a close 23-22 contest. But Team Mayhem bounced back to force an “IF” game, which it won 22-19.
The San Antonio Silver Streaks, the No. 3 seed in pool play, came out the winner in the 60 AAA bracket, besting the Dallas Spurs in the Championship game 14-5.
The Men’s 70 Division saw many close and hard-fought games in both seeding and bracket play. After going 3-1 in a mixed pool play with the 65s, the Houston Wildcatters garnered the top seed in the 70’s Division. The Wildcatters defeated HCI Austin, 19-17 in the Championship Game.
