Softball Player, 82, Sings Praises of Hockey Player, 90

Dec. 1, 2012

CALGARY, ALBERTA, CANADA – Michael Kamad, 82, plays on a pretty good softball team here that averages just about 81 years of age. He says his team may be the only 80+ team in Canada and must play much younger foes.

In a recent 32-game schedule his team, the Dodgers, came in third in the A Division of younger teams. And when winter hits up here, he’s out on the ice playing hockey.

Clearly he knows something about senior players and so when he tells you that “of all the years that I have been involved in hockey, I have never seen anyone who can skate as well as Mark Sertich” you might want to listen up.

For Sertich is 90 years young and plays center ice for the Sherwood Park Lancers who just swept a three-game tournament in the 80 and up division.
