Prayers to my pal Rick and his bride Carolyn. You will both be in my heart and prayers till you beat this demon. Look forward to seeing you on the softball trail after recovery.

I'll take my chances every game with a defense that gives only 3 outs per inning.

gray, I think SSUSA has addressed this during the World Huntsman games. The glitch comes with the number of teams in each division. The current program like the Huntsman Games uses so far is unable to work for the larger number of teams.
ISSA has the "luxury" of having a tournament total of 173 teams (which is smaller than several different age groups in the Vegas Tourney) which will work with the current programming. The ISSA tourney in Palm Springs had 10 teams, you can report those scores from memory! Huntsman had over 350, but format was broken down into a lot smaller individual groups that were able to be programmed, thus able to report.
As was told to us earlier, they are trying to figure it out.
After reading this website for many years, same 3 bitches keep coming up: balls, ball/strike count, and results. Looks as though Sacramento took care of the balls, is working on the ball/strike count with current survey, and I'm sure they will figure out the results in the near future.

There is no great reason for 4 seeding games, 5 game format is ample for the $$$. Duke, not sure the older age divisions (at least 65 and 70) had any say so in the "so many games in a day." Maybe that came from the oldest divisions, like the 75's and up. Never heard any growls from the 70's and younger on the 3 days tourneys, but did hear quite a few growls on the 4 day schedule. Too long, too expensive.
From the SSUSA side, if it makes it easier to schedule with fewer games per day, understand.

Benji I'm with you. r4, looks to me like a complete turn around in economy and unemployment, even before the implementing of a new tax plan. I would say the republicans are doing quite well in comparison to the liberal (socialist) bunch that we got stuck with for 8 years.

Thank you. 214 teams at SW Worlds in Vegas and 613 teams at the World Masters same location, The Rock in play for both. Like The Rock or not, those 2 tournaments aren't broken, there is no need to fix!

Fabe, most likely won't see one ball in the near future. Neither SSUSA or LVSSA is about to change.

Discussion: The "ROCK SOFTBALL"

Not too sure what "nightmare" you are referring to in Vegas........I play league in Vegas year round and take BP twice a week year round all with the Rock, and have played in every World Masters here since the Rock was implemented and have not seen any safety issue based on a ball.

2 additional side comments:
Over 600 teams at the Vegas tournament for 2017 Masters, think they'll do things like change a ball to try and change that number? What would be the result of going to the Trump Stote for that tournament?
When balls were issued at the Winter Worlds, I personally heard nothing but positive comments and lots of smiles.

Discussion: Annual Meeting

If you are a serious senior player from a "hot bed" area of Senior Softball like Loachapoka, Notasulga, Wetumpka, or even Fishpond, it's an easy drive to the meeting to voice concerns for us who are 1000's of miles away with legitimate concerns about the game, but unable to attend because of travel expense. Would be interesting to know how many actual locals will be at this meeting voicing opinions of the masses. Care to expose the person selecting this location?

Leader in the field in the scoreboard category. They've got the results reporting figured out.

Discussion: Tentative Winter World Fields?

Winter Nationals posted July 21. No posting on tentative fields for the Phoenix Winter World tourney. Most "Book By" dates on your suggested hotels have long past, losing whatever would be discounts for us and whatever kickbacks to SSUSA. Any idea if field list will be posted in October. Many thanks.

Dbax, our Vegas league has the same age spread, 50 to oldest @ 77. I don't recall any injuries attributed to the Rock. Like most leagues, bad hops, blinding sun, etc were more likely the culprit.
