Discussion: Time to change the format of the board

Board is fine as it is, and I am familiar with some of the boards you mention. All boards have their own personal 'look'. If you actually use it you might get used to it.
You can read w\o signing on, just cant post here, nor add photos or such. It is a very, very controlled board. If you seek there are 4 basic rules. Other boards have a few also.
Enjoy it Brian.

JDub,
You said "Stoopid Bats", ???, not if they are legal for that assn or event. Altered is another story.
I would go with some rules being guidelines but those are only where it's an umpires 'discretionary call'.
There in lies part of the problem. Not all see the same play in the same way, let alone actually got out behind the plate to see it. That is not all umps, some do quite a good job of moving out to see the calls being made.
I pitch and I wear gear. Have signed a waver or two over the years. Unfortunately I have been hit and have hit pitchers and runners over the years as well.
I'd go for the 47\525 balls and alloy bats just as easily as I would go for current bats and 47\525 balls. But the 44\375 works well with senior bats for me and most others.
Jeff we all know the chances we take playing, but one doesn't even need to be on the ball field to get messed up by a ball. I'm a case in point there.
Enjoy the game, meet some great guys and stay healthy.

Omar,
I've only played one SSUSA event lately, Reno last year, but have gone to a few to watch. It happens but not as often as in NCSSA.
That said, most people don't pay attention to it, but I think pitchers do.

The batters box would be another good one to add to the enforcement issues. That is a consistent one for the batters either going towards the pitcher or the batter going into the box to hit.
Yea, there are rules for it too...BUT not enforced, like wind, sun, etc etc.

But, still be best going.

I'll take your word for it Bob.
We'll all just have to wait until the rest of the issues are told to complete the story.
This chapter seems very positive.
Congrats to Steve and crew.

It's not always called. If at all.

Walking the box as I now call it was not dealt with when they extended it. But its ignored for the most part. NOT GOOD.

Swing...
You get your average base or doubles hitter and yes you might get a bunch of hits but the feedback from a variety of players after some months of use will be more reliable than any sales guy trying to make a buck.
I got it with the hope of getting a few more hits on my Freak DST that has 6 strange stress cracks in it. They curve downward on the side of the barrel rather than the length of the barrel. But the minimal cost for some prolonged use make it worth while.

Got one @ Big 5 for 9.99.
About same distance form me as Dicks, 1.5 mi.

Went to Disk's yesterday to check them out and perhaps buy 2.
But at 12.99 for one and as thin as they were, i decided not to do so. Had they been 7 or 8 I would have ventured into the item. Dicks does a price match so I'll shop the other box stores around and see if they carry them.
As the Wood stated, it is THIN and has a stitched seam. Not sure which would wear out first.
I was hoping for a 1\8 to 1\4 in thickness in it the seam looked stitched well.
Once again, what you see or read isn't always at it appears. ???

ED,
Spoken like the true salesman that you are. The Core has been in 'production' for over 3 years according to the posts here within. But lets see if all the promises you are a part of now, hold up.
How can you use a bat that didn't have stamps on it?
Your not a power hitter so all those hits are not meaningful to me even if a few were by some hard hitters.
Cost is very good with a warranty.
I'd be more inclined to believe Carl and his small group about the 2 Monstra bats than anything related to this one.
But I hope it works out for you.
Muse be why you signed an agreement so you could get the rep deal...I still hope it pans out.

BW,
That wouldn't be in the cards, but I thought of the box store also since we have about 6 of them locally.
Short term fix yes, but other options for use could be thought of.
Thanks though.
Stay Healthy.

I agree on that. Perhaps there is just enough protection from the material used that it dampers the hit enough to keep from further damage for a short time.
Good videos on that though in any case.

Seems to be holding the cracked bat together but doubt it's legal to use in a game.
Be good to use a cracked one in BP like the videos on here, so you can get all you can before it totally goes.
For the 12 bucks it would be worth it.

If I recall correctly that was at Kelly's and Just bats. Didn't find the grey or Black at two other sites I went to it was all ASA.
I think I've bought more bats that you have anyway and yes I do shop for pricing if that is what you mean.
Worth has only put out maybe 2-3 dozen or so very good bats over the years. I've had most all of them. Still use a EST c405-P for bp in cold weather.

For 250 and no warranty the Legit would need to be good & durable...Others are proven for less. Worth made or ordered far too many to be that different from ASA, USSA and sr ball.
