Can anybody name another sport in which heavier weights for warm up are used less than a minute before a using lighter game weight?

Do horse trainers make race horses run with extra weights just seconds before entering the starting gate?

Or Olympic sprinters?

What about Golf do they swing heavy clubs just before the long drive?
Hockey sticks?
Tennis rackets?
Football?
Swimming?

So let me get this straight....

Somebody that you emailed informed you that it was a different batch without any sort of proof?

Is that because the Melee Legend is a overall better bat than the Barrage?

From what I am seeing at different tournaments, is there are just as many Reebok Melee Red bats are being used as the Yellow version. Also the Miken UII Ultra black balanced bat (probably the most popular senior bat of all time) is still very popular. So whether balanced or end loaded both are about equal in popularity. It's just a matter of preference.

By reading your responses on this thread I can only come to one conclusion. That conclusion is that since you can't tell the difference between first and second batch bats, you can't be 100% sure those are second batch bats in your inventory.

I used mine until it wore out and couldn't find one. I'll be ordering real soon.
Thanks for finding a website that sells them.

My mask is also attached with velcro, but it does not stay in place. If I take the mask off to set it down the chin pad falls off. I think there must be a way for the pad to be kept in place. I know of a few guys that lost the chin pad because it didn't stay attached.

Is there a way to keep the chin pad attached to the Rip-it mask?

Discussion: ~~~TIMING~~~

I've talked to several good hitters that are "Steppers".

From what I understand the "Steppers" started "stepping" when they got into playing softball.

I learned that the "stepping" is not going to give the hitter any significant amount of higher bat speed.

They start their "stepping" as soon as the ball leaves the pitchers hand, figuring that by the time they take a few steps forward the ball will be arriving in their hitting zone. It is a way of timing their swing to the ball.

As one told me "It gives me something to do while I'm waiting for the ball".

For these guys it seems to work well. I've tried it but I guess it's just too much moving around and changing angles for my liking.

So now that you got some swings on that new bat, how does it compare to the white Miken Ultra 2 piece end load?
