You should check out the Woodlawn Hitting Club in St Pete. They hit Tues and Thurs at 8:00am.
They have a website, http://woodlawnhittingclub.yuku.com/

Clean for me. I keep a wet rag on the dugout fence and wipe it after every at bat if I throw the bat down. There is a teammate that doesn't like the tacky surface so he doesn't clean his.

Discussion: Ball Exit Speed Testing and top Pro Speed Demos..Swing Makeover #52

Bogie, with my Swing Speed Radar and a balanced bat I was able to reach 93mph. It wasn't a swing that I would have used in a game, I was swinging out of my shoes!! I'm very happy with a speed somewhere in the 80's.
I can't wait until Cocoa Beach to try yours again.

Yes, another great video!
Using my Swing Speed Radar I clocked Bret Kreuger at 103mph. I would like to see what he does on your radar!

Player99, you should have added durability. I have a preference but would rather not say.

Me either. I threw this pitch years ago but seemed to lose it recently. I now realize that I must fine tune it.
Thanks,

I agree Yank!
And, by the way, for being wrong, you are banned from posting here for six months. Oh, wait a minute, you've only posted three time in 4 or 5 years! ;)
See you Tuesday.

I'm guessing posters here are telling how many years they've played major plus so we can see their perspective.
As for me I've played major plus for 12 years out of my 16 years in senior softball.

One problem, besides being able to only play another team two out of three games, is that in some qualifiers other teams won't play you at all, even when offered the 5 runs or the additional defensive player.

The only recourse is to play nationals. Some years our schedule looked like this: TOC, SSUSA Spring Nationals, ISF World Cup, ISSA World Championships, SPA Nationals, LVSSA/SSUSA World Masters and finally the SSUSA Winter Nationals.
That's only 7 tournaments. Most years we didn't play in the SSUSA Winter Nationals so that left 6.
This is what a major plus team would have to look forward to.
If they don't have a generous sponsor it would be prohibitive to most players.

Vance, your team has it all, hitting fielding and running. It was fun battling your team!!

Discussion: What is the only situation where, after the play is over that a "do over" or "mulligan" can be implemented? (at least that I'm aware of)

We had a "Do Over" Sunday. The pitch hits square in the middle of the mat, umpire calls ball. After our catch, pitcher and a couple more that were in out dugout complained the umpire calls No Pitch. In essence it was a "Do Over".

Sorry Curtis, we have filled that position. Good luck finding a team. There is a senior tournament in Valley, Al, April 21-23. You may want to check out the teams there.

Agreed Titanhd, get rid of AA division.
Per my other post, just have division 1, 2 and 3. Divide all teams equally into one of the three divisions.

Paco, we just need an attitude adjustment!
Grayhitter59, we had a great tournament in Tampa. All of our game were close and we aren't happy with ISSA's decision.
We played in Montgomery this past weekend and placed 2nd behind Montgomery Swarm. There were 4 of us in 55 major.
Maybe this will solidify our ranking as 55 major. :)
I agree with eliminating one of the divisions. Then take the total number of teams and divide the remaining into three divisions. Some of the AAA teams will move to the lower division and the better AAA teams will move up to the level of the major teams.
I have promoted this in the past but didn't get any support.

Tatooball would the one to jump in here. I believe that ISA approved balls are lighter, thus caused less damage to bats. I don't know about movement.
