coming back from knee surgery I am in need of refreshing my skill(or lack 0f) set. Any clinics out this way? I would LOVE to go to Alan's but it's just too far for me....

Nose, you may think it's a gimmick but I have had mine for a while and I have never hit so many knuckleballs into the outfield in my life. This bat seems to take any spin away from the ball and sends screamers out there....I love my Dudley

Is there a different place for the rec tournaments to be listed or is it just too early to have them?

As much as I would love to go to Alan Tanners Spring Training camp, It is just too cost prohibitive for me. He has such a great line up of instructors and activities. I was wondering if there is a camp in Az or southern Cali? Who puts them on?...any help appreciated.

Discussion: Passing of a Hero

With a heavy heart, I am passing on the information of the death of a Warrior. PFC Gabriel Foster died over the weekend from injuries sustained while deployed to Afghanistan. He was 19 Years old and and a Veteran of the war in the middle east. While he wasn't able to play ball with us, he was out cheering squad and unofficial mood elevator. He LOVED watching ball games, practice, anytime we were playing anything, he was there. I got to know him really well and we bonded closer than I have to anyone else, since starting Wounded Warriors PNW. He did have anyone out here so we would bring to our home and hang out and watch games, eat bad food, drink beer, cry, laugh, get mad, get sad, get happy. He called me Gpa....God I love that kid.

Discussion: Managers nightmare!!

go to your bank, tell them what happened and have them reverse the funds. Happens all the time. They will do it especially since you requested your funds back.

Today's mail was a blessing for me and all my guys and gals from Wounded Warrior PNW. Alan Tanner from Team 1 Sports made some calls on our behalf and man did people ever come thru. He talked to Brad at Miken and they sent a care package PACKED with stuff! Bats, Gloves, Batting Gloves...a lot of stuff. I showed it to my wife and she started crying. It was a true blessing not just for the Warriors, but for her and I also.
John Evanchik sent a Dz 44/375's...
Some other guys have sent bats, gloves and stuff. It is amazing what you guys have done.
As some of you know Terry(wife) and I have been trying to support these brave Men and Women out of our savings. It's nice to have that burden lifted for a little while.
THANK YOU all so much for everything you have done. Please keep us in your prayers.

Sincerely

Sorry Webbie. Las Vegas is a no show for me or any of the players this year. We had planned to go and say Hi, meet a lot of guys, let the guys hang out with other players but it has become FUBAR. The bat bags are a great idea but Honestly, we use Army reclaimed duffels. And they work well for us.
What we can use most are.....

44/375 softballs
ANY gloves..playing or batting
and of course BATS! We always need bats. We were hoping a vendor or manufacturer would step up, A couple guys already sent bats and they are being well played...:)...almost to the point of trying to remember what color they were originally.

Some of these guys have the upper body strength of a Mule. And we play in all weather, hot, cold, rain.....they don't care..they just wanna play. And it gets them out and off the ward for a few hours.
You wouldn't believe the transformation that has come over these soldiers. For a few hours EVERYDAY, they can forget everything and just be guys, not patients, playing softball.

Thank you to all of you fellow senior players and Vendors who have donated some wonderful equipment to the Wounded Warriors PNW. If you could see their faces when they get something they don't have or something in a lot better shape than they already have....it's like a kid with a new toy. It's like who gets to use the new stuff first.
Man, I have a wonderful wife. My Military retirement all goes to these guys and gals. As long as I don't use the credit card, she lets me do whatever I want. Think I will keep her for a few more years.
Again, Thank you, all of you! But I REALLY want to give a shout out to Alan Tanner of Team1 Sports and Rev Judi at Wintercrest. They have gone above and beyond. It's an Honor to know them.
