Dec. 20, 2012 dooker	Topic: Tournaments Discussion: Texas State Championship-2013 So what the hell is the problem with Keist Park in Dallas where the tournament has been held for the last several years? Ah, I get it, the Houston facility, besides sounding like a lovely place to play before it gets too dark, is, indeed, more centrally located in terms of attracting a variety of teams from some of our bordering states (OK and AR) in addition to possible entrants from TN and KS? What a joke. Wonder what Rhodes Scholar's brainchild this was?

July 7, 2012 dooker	Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Available Teams In the embryonic stages of contemplating a move to the Fairfield Glade area in Tennessee. Located roughly 75 mi west of Knoxville and 100 plus east of Nashville. Have played with the Dallas Spurs 60 AAA for the past 5-6 years. Just curious at this point of team availability in the area.
June 27, 2012 dooker	Topic: Bats Discussion: Miken U2 Performance Received a "new" Ultra II (1.21) from Miken several weeks ago to replace a "grey" that broke with less than 200 swings. Have at least 300 swings on it already. Believe at this point I would have better luck swinging a wooden fence post. Guess I'll contact Miken to see if they'll man up on this one. If not, guess my Miken days are over.

That's where I happen to have developed my incomparable softball expertise as a youngster and I still have some buds playing back there. Right on the incomparable, heh Maddog? You've seen me play!!
May 17, 2011 dooker	Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: High tourney entry fees and weak prizes... Doker - Do not disagree that SSUSA puts on a good tournament for the most part. They get you involved early with the publishing of teams involved (which a lot of guys like to know as early as possible) and they get schedules out in a fairly timely manner The do, however, have their shortcomings (as I stated earlier with this year's TOC). However, their shortcomings pale in comparison to those of SPA. Playing in a tournament in Plano this weekend and we can't even get a list of teams involved. Just received the schedule for the first day's play yesterday. Seems they like to keep everything a secret up 'till the eleventh hour.

Have we got them yet? Think you know the answer.

These associations are put together for one reason: profit maximization at the expense of those who participate in and underwrite their tournaments. Losing discipline regarding the dispensing of awards/prizes and the like is not economically beneficial to their business plan. What do you think, maddog?
