Discussion: Dream Catcher Gloves iso prototyping/manufacturing

Hi,

I have a patent on a majoor ergonomic innovation in a softball/baseball fielding glove called the Dream Catcher. It was initially licensed to Rawlings under the Vice brand.

I am reintroducing the glove with a radical redesign. I have the designs done and now am looking for a company that can produce the intitial prototype and then on to manufacturing. Need not be the same company.

I have made the rounds of many of the likely suspects and still haven't found the right match.

If anyone knows of anyone or a company that can make a custom designed glove and also a manufacturer, I would be greatful to talk with you.

You can learn more about the Dream Catcher at http://dreamcatchergloves.com

Catch the Dream,

Galen Fous

Friends of Baseball endows $1 million - iso local chapters

Inspired by a father and son bond formed years earlier through the love of baseball, a Portland businessman has created a million dollar foundation to support youth baseball/softball in Northwest Oregon. Keenan Longcor, who reflects fondly on his youth baseball experiences with his son Ben, established the (FOB) Foundation earlier this year. The Foundation awards grants to help struggling baseball/softball leagues succeed. An important part of the Foundation’s mission is to support groups that enrich youth / parent relationships and to promote life lessons of good sportsmanship and teamwork.

FOB is setting its vision now on developing a national presence thru supporting development of local chapters. We are actively inviting existing groups, organizations, businesses or individuals that would like to explore creating a FOB chapter in your local area to contact us.

“I have been fortunate in my business and I felt it was time to give back to the sport and the community that helped create lifelong memories for both my son and me. It is my hope that through the Friends of Baseball, other parents and children will kindle a similar bond found in sharing the sport that has so many lifelong lessons.” Keenan Longcor, Friends of Baseball founder.

If you feel your community may benefit from a local chapter of Friends of Baseball, or you know others who do, please contact us. You can learn the full story of who, what, where and why Friends of Baseball came to be at www.FriendsofBaseball.org

Please include full contact information, groups you represent or are affiliated with and other relevant info.

Please send all replies to info@friendsofbaseball.org

Sincerely,

Friends of Baseball

Dream Catcher - biggest glove innovation in 50 years!

Hi,

I thought the dedicated senior players in this forum might find the information about my breakthru patented baseball/softball glove design of interest. I call it the Dream Catcher.

I live in Portland, OR now and was a player since my early days in Chicago in the 50's...that’s when my vision for the Dream Catcher glove began...and I carried it through my softball days until a knee injury put me out of the game a few years ago. Anyone remember the game of "Burnout" ...at least that is what it was called when I was a kid. This game as a kid led directly to the ergonomic innovations in the Dream Catcher. The patented innovations center around eliminating hand damage to the palm and fingers from a hit or thrown ball, and 4 times the leverage applied to closing the glove around the ball.

If you would like to learn more - check out...http://dreamcatchergloves.com ...would welcome comments in my guestbook there.

I have considered George Brett and Ryne Sandberg as endorsers..anyone else come to mind?

regards,

Galen Fous
