Topic: Bats
Discussion: altered bats

I am active in several leagues in the Md/DE/NJ area and my wife and I also share a co-ed team. Recently we have good information that two teams in our co-ed league have been using altered (shaved) bats. I have seen the bat in question but by all outward appearences it appears untouched. Is there any way to check these bats for compliance? Our umpires are hot on this issue but they cannot place sanctions without proof. Any ideas?
