| March 20, 2013 #19 | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: Texas State Championship-2013 Capt Kirk ... Money talks ... It is my guess that which ever softball association is scheduling tournaments at the Houston Sportsplex, the association is receiving a large sum of money to hold it there. |
| Feb. 25, 2013 #19 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: TOC SSUSA Staff ... The topic was simply TOC ... I believe my comments were TOC-associated ... I think I even complimented Duke on his post ... Seems a bit of a stretch to think that you are now policing posts to this extent, although I did not see any posts after my second one. #19 |
| Dec. 25, 2012 #19 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: What did you do in your last at bat? Don't remember ... Probably got caught looking'!!! |
| Dec. 1, 2012 #19 | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: Grading the Rule Changes Happy to see that AAA rules are now outs after 3 home runs ... Play where you belong or suffer some real consequences ... Thank you SSUSA. #19 |
| Nov. 27, 2012 #19 | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: pitching screens Dave m ... Sounds like you need to find another past-time ... Board games? |
| Nov. 26, 2012 #19 | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: pitching screens The thought of placing a screen on the playing field is ludicrous ... Hitting a screen placed on the playing field resulting in a DBO is folly ... Perhaps those who wish to play by these rules can start their own leagues/associations. #19 |
| Nov. 14, 2012 #19 | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: Update from USSSA National Convention Crusher ... I have hit pitchers, too, but never on purpose ... If a ball is coming off a bat to quickly, then perhaps something should be done there rather than placing a foreign object in the field of play and then making random rules governing the foreign object. #19 |
| Nov. 14, 2012 #19 | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: Update from USSSA National Convention Crusher ... If you've been a pitcher for such a long time, and have only been hit once, and it was minor, why the need for a screen? #19 |
| Nov. 14, 2012 #19 | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: Awards for championship teams Good grief! ... Grow up! |
| Oct. 22, 2012 #19 | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: LV World Tournament Discussion Why don't we play with 12, 13, 14 players? ... Enough to cover all the holes! ... That way, all the proverbial bases will be covered!!! ... Ridiculous! #19 |
| Oct. 15, 2012 #19 | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: AAA Home Runs Gary19 ... You can't play defense against balls hit 350+ feet. |
| Oct. 12, 2012 #19 | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: AAA Home Runs Local ... Played against the team that won 60AAA in other tournaments ... Yes, they are a very good team without hitting a bunch of homers ... The team that played against them just ran out of gas and are a legitimate Major team ... If your team is averaging 6 hrs a game, you shouldn't be playing AAA, IMHO ... I have never seen a study indicating that anyone goes up the middle if they can't hit home runs. |
| Oct. 12, 2012 #19 | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: AAA Home Runs 5Tools ... It's not hard to determine sandbaggers ... For example, if you are playing AAA which allows 3 home runs, and your team is hitting 8, 9, 10 balls out of the park, there is a good chance your team is sandbagging ... See how easy that was? #19 |
| Oct. 12, 2012 #19 | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: AAA Home Runs Retired63 ... Couldn't agree with you more ... We played a AAA team in LV who hit 8 out and 6 more lasers off the wall ... There were a number of teams who were similar ... Too many sandbaggers ... Outs are the only way to actually penalize sandbagging teams, and make them at least think about moving up to the next level voluntarily ... Making them walks are a joke. #19 |
| Oct. 1, 2012 #19 | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: World Tourn. Updates Which Major team masquerading as AAA won in Las Vegas? #19 |
| Sept. 17, 2012 #19 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Ratings SSUSA ... A curiosity ... Indiana Legends(AAA)won the Eastern Nationals ... Indiana Legends(AAA)won SPA Worlds ... Indiana Legends re-rated to Major soon after winning SPA ... A week later, Indiana Legends re-rated back to AAA ... Explain??? Thank you #19 |
| Aug. 1, 2012 #19 | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: THE NEED FOR SEVEN INNINGS Gary19 ... There is little reason why we need to wait through, ball one, ball two, ball three, strike one, strike two ... It's slow pitch, for goodness sakes ... You're not going to sneak a fast ball, on the inside corner, knee high past a hitter ... Ever played in a one-pitch tournament? ... An incredible amount of fun ... 45 minute, 7 inning games ... Constant motion ... Love it! #19 |
| July 31, 2012 #19 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: WESTERN NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS....A concern? Enviro-Vac ... Why hasn't your team been moved to Major after winning Reno? #19 |
| July 24, 2012 #19 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: baserunning Very situational #19 |
| July 19, 2012 #19 | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: PLAYER RELEASE Gary19 ... Seems to me that "commitment" should be a 2-way street. #19 |
