Their answer will be they have balls for sale to help cover the remaining games you have to play. Most teams budget and plan for that each tournament. They either can increase tournament cost or you can buy more balls, our choice I guess.

Last year we were not allowed to bring in our own drinks(water, gatorade, etc)into the park, with you warning due to high temperatures will this be the rule, if so this could lead to problems getting enough liquids into players systems???

Go on Larry, they are playing a round robin so they will play each team once, worst case is the runner up will get the TOC berth. I see this as the best of both worlds for all team involved.

8 oz bottle that I have is called Pickle juice sport, found in sport drink section. Doesn't give type of pickles used.

Discussion: Pickle Juice

I've always had problem with cramps as I run a lot for myself and others, but since starting(been doing two years) pickle juice before my first game each day during a tournament I haven't had one cramp. HEB(grocery store) here in Texas sells small 6 oz bottles(dollar each), won't leave home without it. I'm a believer, taste like hell but works.

great bunch of guys, Stump, Hood, Billy, Johnny Moss and Gus, also had a great coach. I pitched for that group for two years before moving to Dover AFB.

Does anyone on the board know if the William(Bill) Gore that plays with the Panhandle Hittmen is the same one that played for the Hurburt Field(FT. Walton beach,Fla) Raiders in the early 70's. Saw the name the other day and a lot a great memories came back. John Beard CenTex 65's.

We have a over 40 division we just started on Tuesday nights and a over 50 that play on Thursday that have a lot of ex-military that play. Stop by Normoyle Park(backside of Kelly) tonight or next week and see some of the games. Check www.sassl.org website for the address and more info. We have divisions from 40 to 75 in age.

tighline, nothing going on in SA for the Super Bowl week-end. No schools in the area for slow-pitch.

SSUSA league insurance doesn't require the mask per SSUSA HQ. Insurance will cover injuries if they occur as it has in the past.

Larry, SASSL was told the same thing, we are encouraging them but not manatory. You could have a law suit either way if your force them to wear it or you don't. More refuse to use it then then the other way around.

Staff, Thanks for a lesson in reading the complete rule book, didn't even know it when 70 pages, plus we have been doing it wrong in league play for a couple of years now. Thanks again for the quick answer.

Staff, I hate to be a pain but why isn't that stated in rule 1.21, it states team will get 5 runs, your statement allows the higher rated team to drag they feet to keep from giving up all the runs.

Staff, I agree with titan, fifth rule should have been given and that would have tied their game, questions is do they get the fifth run or does it just go away if only playing 5 innings?????

wyo22, you're 30 days late to the party, we've been complaining since the rule was announced on this website. By this time we have beat this to death, they aren't going to change for this year.
